Thanksgiving Fun

 Thanksgiving Fun yesterday. Sorry some missed but thanks to all who provided snacks, paper products, water, sweet treats and games. 

Week 12

 Hello Parents!

 

It is finally here! Thanksgiving break. This month has gone by so fast. We got a lot of work completed last week. I hope everyone has a healthy and happy Thanksgiving. See all my students next Tuesday 11/30 after break. 

 

Reminders:

•  Continue to check your child’s test folder and be sure to sign all the tests please by Friday.

• Literature Circle work due Monday, 12/6 

• Thanksgiving party Tuesday 11/23

 

Fun last week:

 

We had a lot of fun writing our Thankful essays during Writing class. We are still going to make the surface of the moon projects but because of the shortened schedule last Friday it just didn’t work out. We will work on them when we get back from Thanksgiving break.

Note to parents 11/15

 Hello Parents!

 

One more week until Thanksgiving break. This month has gone by so fast. We got a lot of work completed last week. We had our first class meeting. The class was able to bring to light some things that don’t make us happy at school. Next Wednesday we are going to have Kindness Day  with Mrs. Ryan. During our Religion period she will come into the class and talk to the children about how to treat others with respect and kindness. Last but not least in Science I got another idea to create the surface of the moon recycling Jules thin crust boxes, sand, glue, and glow in the dark paint. I can’t wait to see how this turns out!

Fun last week:

 

Wow, I had know idea how many relatives in our class are veterans. On Behalf of the class we thank them all. We did try to personally thank each one by writing cards to them. Another fun activity we did this week was the toys array activity we did in Math. The class used a bag of toys from home to create multiplication arrays that represented a multiplication equation.

 Good Evening Parents!

 

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed the beautiful weather.  We had a Wonderful first three days of school and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting your children and watching them get to know me and each other a little better. 

 

During the month of September, I will be communicating using emails to the families.  We will then transition into using Google classroom for homework assignments and communication.  You should have received an email invitation from google classroom to join "Mr. Gain’s Class 2021-2022".  Please let me know if you did not receive the invite or had difficulty joining. I will communicate additional information about our class and other important information at Back to School night: TUESDAY 7 pm!

June Note to Parents

 Dear Parents, June 8, 2021

  We are coming very close to the end of the school year. Here are a few important reminders for this week and next. 

• Tomorrow exams begin for us. Wednesday is Religion, Thursday is Math, and Friday is ELA. 

• Spirit Day is next Tuesday for 3rd Grade, the kids have been told their colors for the games.

• Please be sure to check your home for any textbooks because next week I will be collecting them for next school year.

• Make sure your child brings all of their materials home next week. 

• Everyone should have received their summer reading book Wishtree by now. I hope they enjoy it . 

• No School next Thursday

• Last Day of School is Friday, June 18th. The Mass will be Virtual and kids will receive their awards in class. 

I want to thank you all for allowing me the opportunity to teach your children. It was my pleasure and an enjoyment. Thank you for all the cards, treats, gifts and support you showed my family and me this year. I can’t wait until next year when things get back to normal. Please have a wonderful, relaxing summer. See you next Year!

Exciting News

 Exciting news!  We have been invited to attend the whole school mass tomorrow so that we can receive communion as a class!  

The students will still wear masks during the mass and we will still distance all the classes as we have when we attended our own mass.  The same restrictions that we follow over in the school building.

If there are any families that do not wish for their child to attend in person, there will be someone in the classroom to be with them while they watch virtually.

Please let us know before 8 am tomorrow morning if your child will not be going over to the church for mass.
