Good Morning Class, 

If you are reading this then we are Virtual because of the snow and have school from your home. I know you want to go out  and play in the snow so does Oliver and I, but we must get some important school work completed first. The following is a schedule we can follow for today, once it is finished with your parents permission you can go out and enjoy the snow or stay snuggled up on the couch and enjoy a movie or your favorite thing to do. Have a great weekend, I will see Monday.

Today’s Schedule

1st period: Art: You will need the 2 pieces of paper I gave you and any art supplies you have at home. 

2nd period: Religion: Read and complete Lent pages 232-234, 236

Recess: 10-10:40

3rd period: Math: Complete the Check Your Progress in your textbook. Go to textbook pages 238-239, complete problems in copybook.

4th period: Library: Go to Epic Books and browse the library for a Black History biography or another President of the United Sates biography. Read it carefully. Epic code wir8993

5th: Lunch: 12-12:50

6th period: Writing: Complete the biography worksheet about the book you read last period in Epic Books. When you are finished put the worksheet in your folder and go enjoy the rest of your day.

February 18th Lesson Plan

 Lesson Plan February 18, 2021

Good Morning Class, 

If you are reading this then we are Virtual because of the snow and have school from your home. Today’s Schedule

1st period: Religion: Chapter 12 test. When you are finished sit quietly and check over your answers, put the test back into your folder and make sure your name and date are on the test. While we wait for everyone to finish, start to color your Stations of the Cross booklet. 

2nd period: Math: Complete Lesson 11-4 Estimate Mass complete the workbook page together in class virtually. 

Recess: 10-10:40

3rd period: Reading: Write your name and date on the front page of your Benchmark Reading Test. Take your time and complete it carefully. 

4th period: Reading: Continue to use this time to complete the Benchmark Test. If you get finished continue to color your Stations of the Cross booklet. 

5th: Lunch: 12-12:50

6th period: Seesaw activities, IXL, or Prodigy: If you have any problems logging in use the password sheet I gave you and look over it. If that doesn’t work I will be online to help if I can. Please don’t worry everything will be alright.

February Bulletin Boards

 Here is the "Three Scoops of Matter" 

A Science board with each scoop labeled by the students with a solid, liquid, and gas example on the ice cream scoop. 

Lego Classroom Challenges

 After much thought and approval from Mr. Tosti we are now allowed to use Legos to pass the time at Recess. Ollie and I raided his Legos and put thirty individual bags together for the kids to use in class. I promised Oliver he could come up with the challenges for the class for the next two weeks because I was taking some of his own Legos. I assure you they were properly sanitized and their is no sharing of Legos in the room. The winter is tough and I thought this would be a welcome fun thing to use during recess. Any questions or concerns let me know, can't wait to see what they come up with? Here are some recent winners!

        Just to clarify for your information on the following:

• Free Dress Down Day tomorrow for a Red, Pink, or Spirit Wear for tomorrow 
• Friday we do not have school because of a Teacher In-service Day, there will be no asynchronous work that day 
• Monday is a holiday for Presidents Day 
• The class has a Math Test tomorrow
• The Valentine's Day party for the class will be tomorrow, Thank you to Mrs. Sinni and O'Leary  for coordinating the treats, paper products, and other goodies for the party

Valentine’s Day

 Valentine’s Day 

The class is allowed to bring in Valentines for each other. We have been told by Mr. Tosti and the nurse,  they need to be in by the 5th of February. No candy is allowed!  While there is no scientific evidence that suggests outside food or paper items add to an increased risk of transmission of COVID-19, we still must be careful. I hope this helps explain Valentine’s Day next week and have a great day.
