Thanks J.J. #48

This was another busy week but it started out great for the kids!
Thanks to Jimmie Johnson winning last week's NASCAR race the class had no written homework on Monday. I told the my students if Jimmie Johnson wins any race no homework the next day, if he wins the championship no homework for a week     ( that week is always Thanksgiving week), if the the EAGLES beat Dallas no homework, and if the EAGLES win the Super Bowl no homework. for a week! Thanks J.J.#48 Team

The N.O.D.

Here is just a few things we did this week in Mr. G's classroom.
Michael, Grace and Matthew working hard on the N.O.D.
N.O.D. is the Number Of Day

Logan working hard on larger numbers in place value. We do not have a hundred thousand or more blocks!

At the beginning of every class we review what we learned the day before and get a scratch and sniff sticker for every correct response. When a student collects 5 stickers they may then go to the prize box. Thank you to those families who have donated stickers.

Fort

Hello Third Grade families,
We accomplished a lot this week from completing our first Chapter in Religion to reading our first story from our new reading series. We have a long way to go but each week I am seeing improvement in the Third Grade, I love my new grade and class. Below I have attached pictures from last Monday's fort building in class. We read A Fine, Fine School under the roofs of our forts, the class loved it and so did I. Have a great weekend.

week 1

Welcome to Thirds Grade! This is Mr. G's Threes Blog.  Tonight is Back to School Night. If you are able to view this blog, then I have done something right! When you come into my classroom find me and mention the key word: POWER. I will hand you a dress down day for your child. I can't wait to start the new year.
Thanks,
Mr. G
